Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-20

Zap Companion (“the Extension”) is a browser extension that shows token information and a trading panel on supported websites, connected to the Zap Telegram bot (“the Bot”). This policy explains what data the Extension handles.

Summary

What the Extension accesses

Page content. To detect Solana token contract addresses and place its badge/panel, the Extension reads the content of pages on the sites in its permissions (X/Twitter, pump.fun, Axiom, GMGN, BullX, Dexscreener, Photon). This happens locally in your browser. Page content is not recorded or uploaded.

Token addresses. When a token address is detected, the Extension may send that address to the Bot backend to look up signal data or to place a trade you initiated.

Connection token. After you connect (via a one-time code from the Bot), the Extension stores a session token in your browser’s local storage. It is sent to the Bot to authorize balance checks and trades. It is not shared with anyone else.

Trades. When you click a buy button, the Extension sends the token address and amount to the Bot, which executes the trade using your Bot-held wallet. The Extension does not sign transactions itself.

What is stored

What the Extension does NOT do

The Bot and your funds

Trading features require a Zap Telegram bot account. The Bot creates and holds a wallet for you and executes trades you authorize. Custody of funds and keys is handled by the Bot, not by this Extension. Use trading features only if you accept how the Bot manages keys and funds.

Third parties

The Extension sends data only to the Bot backend you connect to. It does not send your data to the developer for any other purpose, nor to advertisers.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date changes and the new version ships with the Extension.
